International Gem and Jewelry Show

This is a big show held this weekend in San Mateo. It was quite overwhelming. I walked through rows and rows of precious gems, beads, silver, Murano glass, jade, pearls, costume jewelry, even handbags and scarves. I despaired that I would not be able to find something unique for my new summer collection. Towards the end of my wonderings, I found this stall that sells these colorful, pi gemstones - very feng shui. Check out the selections below.

These donut shaped gemstones are about 1 3/16" in diameter. I have aventurine (green pi), Chinese obsidian (black with specks of pink), unakite (green with traces of orange), and carnelian gemstones (deep burgundy). Each stone has a special meaning like unakite which deflects negative energy and lifts your spirits. Obsidian has protective energies and aventurine is a good luck stone, something you should take with you when you go to the casino.
